Our train will climb to 790 feet above sea level and pass through the mountains to arrive at the vibrant town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, with its own unique dramatic, man-made, landscape. At Blaenau, the Conwy Valley Line share a town centre terminus with the Ffestiniog Railway, built to take the slates down to the sea port of Porthmadog. Most trains are steam hauled. A joint ticket for both lines gives significant savings and makes for an excellent day out.
